The Noble Life ... a legacy worth leaving TM
“The fool shall no more be called prince (noble): neither the deceitful be called great: [f]or the fool will speak foolish things and his heart will work iniquity, to practice hypocrisy, and speak to the Lord deceitfully, and to make empty the soul of the hungry and to take away drink from the thirsty. The vessels of the deceitful are most wicked: for he hath framed devices to destroy the meek, with lying words, when the poor man speaketh judgment. But the prince (the noble man) will devise such things as are worthy of a prince, and he shall stand above the rulers."
Isaiah 32:5-8, The Holy Bible, DRV
Do you know who you are and for what purpose you are here? Do you have a nagging sense that you are called to greatness, to live above and beyond where you may be today?
If you have the sense that you are living beneath yourself, hopefully, Noble Life Project resources can help you transcend your current situation. If you do not know that you are called to greatness, then ask yourself why are you at a website entitled “The Noble Life Project”? Whether or not you know it, you are called to greatness. This call is part of your and every human person’s innate nature and being.
Yes, each human person is called to greatness not for their own sake but for the sake of others in light of the perfect greatness of God. Today, modern culture is awash in counterfeit greatness. Greatness based on image and impression not on substance and character. In fact, the culture today does not really talk about or look for greatness it looks for fame and celebrity as a substitute for authentic greatness and honor.
Why is this distinction so important? Because a culture cannot survive when narcissism is accepted as the norm and virtue and truth are scoffed at as being “old-fashioned” and “not with it”.
While several books have been written on the growing trend of narcissism and its consequences to culture, common-sense observation should tell us that things are broken, from families, to corporations, to government and politics.
It is only a return to an individual and common pursuit of Truth and Virtue that will create the authentic individual and societal greatness that our culture and nation so desperately needs.
