The Noble Life Project

“The fool shall no more be called prince (noble): neither the deceitful be called great: [f]or the fool will speak foolish things and his heart will work iniquity, to practice hypocrisy, and speak to the Lord deceitfully, and to make empty the soul of the hungry and to take away drink from the thirsty.  The vessels of the deceitful are most wicked: for he hath framed devices to destroy the meek, with lying words, when the poor man speaketh judgment.  But the prince (the noble man) will devise such things as are worthy of a prince, and he shall stand above the rulers."

Isaiah 32: 5-8, The Holy Bible, DRV

The above passage from Holy Scripture teaches that the noble man "shall stand above the rulers", but he does not stand "above" based on his own power; for God is the source and center of his life!
The Wisdom of Authentic Greatness ^TM teaches that true greatness is achieved by conforming ourselves to God's will to live out the life that He has uniquely created and gifted us with for the purpose of glorifying God and serving our neighbor.  By conforming ourselves to God's will, we reject the counterfeit greatness offered by the world.

Every human person is born in "the image and likeness of God" with a desire to be remembered - to be great.  This desire for greatness is so natural that men and women are willing to destroy themsleves in its pursuit.  Because this "call to greatness" is placed within each human person as a vague reflection of God's own glory and greatness, how could someone be destroyed while pursuing the very call placed in him by his Creator?  The answer:

• Original sin and the temptations of the world, the flesh, and the devil, which typically result in:
  • A misunderstanding of what constitutes real greatness
  • A disordered use of created goods in the pursuit of greatness

The challenge for men and women is to see success and greatness from a different perspective, from God's perspective.  Do you want your life to have an eternal impact; to live up to the greatness that is inside of you?  Pursuing the world's definition of greatness and success can lead to folly and wickedness resulting in the greatest tragedy of all - living beneath the glory that God has put inside of you!

The Noble Life Project was created in direct response to the reality that the Wisdom of our Fathers is disappearing.  Western cultural wisdom, rooted in the Judeo-Christian view of the human person, is indespensable for America and the West to survive as the civilization that created, albeit imperfectly, more freedom, more prosperity, and more opportunity for the peoples of the world than any other civilization in history.  The gift of life, the ability to live freely, to lead oneself and others to legacies of authentic greatness can only occur if one has a proper understanding of the dignity and identity of the human person. 

The fundamental question of man's purpose and ultimate end is the question the modern world has failed to answer.  The modern world cannot properly answer this question because it continues to reject the One who is the fulfillment of the ancient wisdom-seeking cultures of Athens, Jerusalem, and Rome that rightly believed the pursuit and acquisition of virtue and wisdom were the measures of a truly good life -  a Noble Life.

It is the purpose of the Noble Life Project, in light of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, who is Wisdom Incarnate, to affirm the dignity of human life, to defend the natural rights of human liberty, to inspire transformational leadership, and to propose the pursuit of Truth and Virtue as the best path to creating a life and legacy of authentic greatness.
